The founder of the international galleries Pearl Lam is often included in the lists of the most influential people in contemporary art today and she certainly deserves the title after successfully championing Asian artists (primarily Chinese) and turning her passion for art into a prosperous business. Today she owns five galleries: one in Shanghai, two in Hong-Kong and two in Singapore.

Pearl Lam Galleries was opened in 2016 in Dempsey Hill and is located in the former Tanglin Barracks. The gallery neighbours with Como Dempsey, a new leading luxury destination and a thriving hub of cultural life in Singapore.

The gallery represents over 60 artists from around the world, primarily from China, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong-Kong, Korea, United Kingdom, Australia, Germany and USA. From painting, installation, sculpture, photography and video art Pearl Lam embraces all mediums of contemporary art practice.

Amongst many excellent artists we recommend to take a look at Zhu Jinshi and Su Xiaobai, whose works form many prominent private art collections, as well as Du Zhenjun with his depictions of futuristic babylon towers and natural beeswax installations of Ren Ri.

Key info: the second branch is located in Gillman Barracks.

Free entry.
