This restaurant isn't in the city center, but it's regarded as one of the best seafood restaurants in Milan. This is, of course, thanks to the family that has owned it for several generations. The restaurant is decorated in a maritime style to look like a ship. Instead of sailors, cheerful servers dart about – the owner's sons, it turns out.

We recommend: Start with the fish platter. Then get the octopus and potato salad. Lobster à la Catalana is an absolute must and try the delicious seafood pasta.

Cuisine: Mediterranean/Italian

Atmosphere: family-friendly/relaxed

The crowd: politicians, Italian families, curious tourists (primarily Japanese)

Key info: Reserve a table in advance.
