Fashionable clientele, an authentic atmosphere, and traditional Argentinian music lure unsuspecting steak lovers to El Carnicero.
The restaurant is located in an old, abandoned factory. The windows are large, and the interior brick walls have been preserved. Each room has its own spirit and mood. In one room, you can watch your waiter deftly carve up jamón — a delicacy and a decoration here. On the patio, wicker furniture goes beautifully with white tablecloths, potted plants, and mosaic floor tiles. A cozy room called "La Sala del Dueño" has a slightly more bourgeois feel, with mirrors, photographs, and antique pictures on the wall, as well as a fireplace.
The tables are far from each other, a Milan custom that's conducive to private conversations.
We recommend: jamón Serrano, Pata Negra, traditional pie with goat cheese and broccoli, and most importantly, Argentinian angus steak.
Cuisine: Argentinian
Atmosphere: authentic
The crowd: businessmen, prominent lawyers, locals, meat lovers, "It" girls.
Key info: The wine list is extensive.
