Restauranteur Bill Granger opened this sunny, Aussie oasis – the first outside his native Australia – in 2011. Light pours in through big windows along the perimeter, delighting locals enjoying breakfast and brunch. Granger & Co is the perfect place to stop after visiting Portobello Market.
We recommend: scrambled eggs; hot pancakes with ricotta; fresh-baked muffins; the "Fresh Aussie" with smoked salmon, an egg, and avacado.
Cuisine: contemporary British.
Atmosphere: lively/informal.
The Crowd: locals, gourmands, designers, journalists, creative types.
FYI: Granger & Co is open seven days a week. It can be noisy inside, and on the weekends there's sometimes a line for brunch. But overall, it's a feel-good place. A second Granger & Co opened in Clerkenwell in 2014.
