The Mandrake with its eclectic, vibrant interiors combined with carefully curated artwork and intriguing soundscapes is the first hotel venture from Beirut-born Londoner Rami Fustok. With 30 rooms and three suites spread across four floors, the Mandrake is a true boutique experience with all the trappings of a luxury hotel – rich-hued furnishings, antiquities and artworks collected by Fustok on his travels. The eccentric and eclectic décor is high on the menu, so expect private art collections, statement-making touches and plenty of lush foliage, setting a vibrant tone.

For great cocktails go to Waeska, the slick bar which opens onto the hotel's highly Instagrammable central courtyard with hanging gardens of jasmine and passion flower. Here, it's all about making your way through the list of botanical-inspired cocktails. Jurema bar is located outside on the first floor of the terrace in the courtyard. It’s more relaxed and a fab hideaway for secret summer cocktails surrounded by those gorgeous jasmine and passionflower plants. The Mandrake Hotel’s YOPO restaurant offer a modern European menu with influences from South America. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.

FYI: The Mandrake regularly hosts emerging and established artists and performers, for interactive sessions that truly feed into the hotel’s ‘stay beyond yourself’ philosophy. The Mandrake’s Artist in Residence programme (AiR) strives to provide an interactive playground, where artist and visitor interact in the hotel’s exquisitely designed spaces to create original, unique, provocative, and live works of art.
