After more than 10 years in its original location in Mayfair’s Dover Street, 2016 seen this multi-brand concept store move to its new home in Haymarket just of Piccadilly Circus. Constructed by Burberry’s founder in 1912 this heritage building boasts and impressive circular staircase linking the basement through to the 2nd floor.
The overall design of the new store was completed in a signature style of its visionary founder Rei Kawakubo, however as you walk through its floors you can’t help but notice that each brand now has a dedicated space with its own unique personality. Celine bags are housed in a special ‘Golden Room’ while Simone Rochas pieces are suspended in clear acrylic boxes. Gucci is set against a vibrant yellow and green velvet backdrop while Raf Simons is surrounded by concrete and glass. Most charming JW Anderson’s display brings back the youthful memories with garments hung in a children’s playground and handbags stepping down a pink slide.
Store’s basement is dedicated to the cutting-edge streetwear brands with one of DSM’s beloved protégés Gosha Rubchinskiy taking over a permanent space. On the top floor you will find Rose Bakery, a family-run organic café. Pop in to taste their delicious seasonal fruit crumble.

Good to know: Dover Street Market is famous for bringing together exclusive collaborations between established designers and high street brands, so if you pick-up a pair of funky sneakers, be sure you won’t find the same one anywhere else.
