This small (only 30 seats), vibrant sushi bar attracts lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine. Their recipe for success is simple: fresh fish, high-quality ingredients, and talented chef. You won't find a menu anywhere; Sasabune is omakase-style, meaning the chef decides what to serve. Expect omakase set for about $100. The restaurant's slogan, "Trust me," has won more than a few fans, and the omakase approach draws legit gourmands. Very hospitable servers always ask about food allergies and describe each piece of sushi and sashimi in great detail. Chef Kenji Takahashi's approach to his craft is unique. Instead of California rolls, which he refuses to serve, he offers innovative, original dishes.

Atmosphere: lively

Crowd: couples, groups of friends, gourmands

FYI: Some guests complain of lingering food smells.
