This intimate two-Michelin-starred restaurant with authentic Japanese cuisine well deserves its reputation for extraordinary sushi experience. All fish, seafood and other ingredients are of the highest quality, delivered daily from Tokyo’s famous Tsukiji fish market. The market is closed on Mondays and so is the restaurant. This place is famous for its exquisite Uni sushi with sea urchin that is sourced from the islands of Kyushu and Hokkaido in Japan.

The restaurant fits only 8 people at the bar counter from where you can observe the chef Masakazu Ishibashi creating his culinary masterpieces.

Shoukouwa is located at One Fullerton business enclave, hence the crowd is mainly business-types, who can afford a $320 bill for a set menu.  If you are in a mood for a gourmet experience, you can go for a dinner set menu for $480. However we must admit, a dinner in Shoukowa is truly worth every cent spent.

Cuisine: Japanese fine-dining.

We recommend: set menu/omakase menu.

Atmosphere: authentic Japanese home-style

Crowd: discerning businessman, bankers, gourmets and travellers.

Key info: last seating is at 20.30, the restaurant closes at 23.00.
