In May 2015, the illustrious fashion designer marked 40 years in the industry by opening his own exhibition space in Milan. Armani/Silos is housed in a former grain warehouse, a four-story building with a stern, corrugated facade. The beauty lies inside, where you'll find Armani's greatest creations, from legendary evening gowns to accessories, going back decades. The pieces look even more stunning amid plain, gray walls, a black ceiling, and plenty of natural light.
Armani has said he didn't want to create a dusty museum, but rather a place where young designers can draw inspiration and experience. Armani/Silos also has an extensive digital archive and a large photo collection of celebrities wearing Armani, advertising campaigns, and fashion shows.
FYI: Entrance is 12 euros, or 15 euros with an audio guide.
