The creation of chef Virgilio Martinez and the Gonzalez brothers, LIMA integrates both traditional and contemporary Peruvian cuisine, representing the gastronomic expansion that has taken place in Peru in recent years. Having worked in the top kitchens of New York, Spain, Singapore, and at the famous Astrid y Gaston, Virgilio pays attention to the presentation of the dishes at LIMA.  The use of unusual ingredients and colors in the food is impressive.  The restaurant's interior is a young and playful vision by March&White, one of London's  top design firms. It's a good place to come by with friends, if you are feeling adventurous.

We recommend: Start with the duck or the tiraditos with tuna, sea bream and octopus; the salmon tiradito is especially good. For the main course, try the lamb or the medium rare, beef Pachamanca.  There is an amazing selection of ice creams, and we recommend you have a little taste of the coffee or lucuma fruit flavors.  For drinks – the classic Chilicano is a must.

Cuisine: Peruvian with a modern twist.

Atmosphere: Chill and casual.

The crowd: People from the neighborhood, art students, local businessmen, dressy Mayfair residents, and journalists.

Key info: Although this place is not too big, it’s always full on weekends. Book your table in advance and don’t try to impress anyone with your outfit here. “Stylish comfort” is appreciated here.
