Alessandro Manzoni lived in numerous houses, but the only one that can be considered really his is the mansion in Via Morone in Milan, where the writer lived from 1814 up till his death. Beautifully restored in the 60’s, its wonderful interior is still well preserved including all of its original furnishings. The house also boasts a large library with over 30,000 books including the complete works of Manzoni himself. Travel back in time to experience the way Manzoni lived back in the mid 1850s.

The Manzoni Museum is located in two rooms overlooking the garden on the ground floor and in six rooms on the first floor: the original furnishing and ornaments have all been entirely preserved.
