Pinna, named after its chef Achille Pinna, has quietly slipped into a former bank just off Shepherd Market and already feels like a neighbourhood fixture.

Achille grew up literally above his family's kitchen on the Sardinian island of Sant'Antioco, learning the craft from his father amid the noise and colour of local markets. He's since cooked across Japan, Brazil and beyond – but coming back to his roots feels like his natural habitat.

The menu is straightforward in the best possible way – impeccably fresh seafood at the raw bar, handmade pasta daily (try the fregola with Mazara prawns), prime cuts from Spain and Scotland, and cannoli or tiramisu to finish.

The wine list leans proudly Italian, with a soft spot for Sardinian producers like Argiolas. Service is warm and attentive. The vibe is lively but never loud. A definite new must-visit on London’s dining scene.
