This eco-friedly hotel by 1Hotels opened in the summer of 2015 in Midtown. Inspired by the beauty of nature, the founders had an eco-friendly approach at the heart of its creation. In place of notepads guests are offered to use reclaimed chalkboards while e-newspapers and magazines are preloaded on tablets available in each room. You will find an hourglass set exactly at 5 minutes in the shower room as a gentle note to be mindful of your water consumption. Beyond the limitless eco-conscious attributes the hotel boasts an ultra stylish contemporary design.

The building facade is turned into a living green wall made of individually potted ivy plants, while nature-inspired interiors conceived by the designers of AvroKO feature river stones, reclaimed wood, preserved moss and greenery throughout. The 206 guest rooms and 23 suites, completed in pastel tones, equally were created only with the use of natural materials. Perhaps a single exception would be the comfy faux fur throws covering the chairs.

At Jams, the restaurant by critically-acclaimed Chef Jonathan Waxman you will be served Californian cuisine made out of seasonal produce from the local farms. Breakfast menu is a la Carte - we recommend to try their signature buttermilk pancakes with dark vahlrona chocolate and maple syrup. There is a 24hr gym at the hotel. While Wi-Fi is included, breakfast is at extra charge.

Key info: there is a Farmstand at the Lobby where you can buy fresh fruits, nuts, granola and more. You can also order a picnic basket at the restaurant.

Room price starts at $227 per night.
